Meera bai, a noble hindu singer from Rajasthan, advocated Krishna devotion as the path to a desire-free life and ultimate liberation (moksha). Her 1,200–1,300 devotional songs, or bhajans, spread her message widely and are cherished across India and globally in various translations. This beautiful painting is made by using oil colors which adds the textural variety and brings depth and dimension to a work of art.
